We receive orders from a variety of businesses, facilities and institutions — including municipal water plants, manufacturers, facilities, pet food producers, feed mills and beyond. Bulk Salt Delivery Types 

You can specify whether you would prefer to have your order delivered or pick it up yourself. When you order bulk salt, Gunther Salt will utilize all trucking options to deliver on the date requested. Providing an alternative date benefits you in the event that there are conflicts with the preferred date — ensuring your load of salt arrives at your facility in an acceptable time frame. 

For bulk salt delivery, you provide an address and select the type of truck you will want to use. Currently, we offer the following truck options:

• Dump Trucks. These trucks are designed for ease of use. At the point of delivery, we easily unload its contents by tilting the bed backward and letting the salt slide out of the front.

• Pneumatic Trucks. These trucks are equipped with a hose to blow the salt into the customer’s tank or storage structure. For feed-mixing customers always needing dry salt, Gunther’s feed-mixing storage building enables indoor loading, avoiding moisture during the loading process. 

Regardless of the type of truck you select, our production capabilities allow for fast, efficient loading and unloading after you order bulk salt. Beyond that, we pride ourselves on matching or beating the shortest lead times for delivery in the salt business. Typically, we expedite each bulk salt delivery within 2-5 business days after receiving the order. 

Bulk Ice Control Orders

Bulk Ice Control is a cost-effective option for those who need to maintain roadways, highways, parking lots and bridges. For customers with limited storage space, Gunther Salt offers next-day delivery. Customer pickup is available the same day for customers wanting to get ahead of the weather. 

We offer delivery in two types of dump trucks: 

• End Dump Trucks. These trucks unload the salt by tilting the bed backward at the rear — allowing for faster, more accurate unloading. End dump trucks typically haul 25 tons.

• Tri-Axle Trucks. These trucks haul 15-25 tons and are shorter than end dumps. This option is best for customers with limited unloading space.
